THE ART OF SELFCARE

THE ART OF SELFCARE

THE ART OF SELFCARE

THE ART OF SELFCARE

Our visionary founder @katjaakmoon came up with the design + concept, collecting her inspiration from the natural world which include some of her most favourite subjects - the human brain, sacred geometry, the mycelial net, the hive mentality, ley lines, our interconnectedness & the essential need for cooperative co-creation.

"I love the natural world for many reasons. There is this thing call the mycelial network, it's the larger organism that makes up mushrooms (mushrooms you see are only fruiting bodies), underneath the ground is this massive network of sentient intelligence that all of nature depends on. It's literally how the trees and plants communicate between one another (look it up). This same patterns looks identical to that of our brain + nervous systems neural network. Coincidence? I think not. The Hexagon is also one of the most prominent + strongest shapes in nature - that is mathematically based for all you fellow nature nerds out there🤓. This shape reminds me of honey comb, of the bees HIVE, how they work together to support one another. Also the reminder, if the bees don't make it, neither do we. The Kommon is a hub for health, for community, for co-creating solutions. We were born out of necessity. We cannot hide from the dangers we are midst globally. Lastly, the lines in the design represent LEY LINES. Ley lines are believed to be a series of metaphysical connections that link a number of sacred sites around the world. Essentially, these lines form a sort of grid or matrix and are composed of the earth's natural energies. There is an innate need we all have, it's for REAL connection. As we remember this natural order we can begin to understand what it means to actually live in harmony (& thus through that co-create a healthier, happier human experience). I believe people have forgot their connection in many ways, to themselves, others and the natural world. There seems to be this false sense of separation, which is at the root of most of our personal to global issues. When we continue to separate ourselves by group think ideals + identity's we make complexity out of what should be seemingly simple solution - again that we are all connected in a fragile web of life, our choices have repercussions and we won't be able to thrive, nor survive if we don't learn how to actually CO-CREATE TOGETHER. This is what we are & I am so thankful for each person who has stepped forth to be part of this. Thank you" - Katjaak Moon
